Question
"Implicit conversion from datatype Varchar to Int not allowed"" (or some variation)"

Answer

MasterMine has encountered data in a field that ""should"" contain a numeric, but which can not be presented as an integer.

Typically, this is likely to be in a ""character"" type field such as one in a ""Detail"" record, which cannot be natively restricted by GoldMine to non-character data.  Sometimes,  user-defined fields are set up in GoldMine without setting the type to ""numeric"", with the result that non-numeric data may be accidentally entered by users.

NONE of the native fields in GoldMine are subject to this kind of mis-interpretation. Check to see if your report contains such a user-defined field. Remove that field from the query by unchecking it in the MasterMine fields list, then attempt the report again.  If the report succeeds, use SQL queries to identify the non-conforming data in the data field in question.

MasterMine support can help you identify data corruptions such as this. See user services for details.
